Jean-Paul Bell

Co-creator, The Humour Foundation; Clown Doctors

Jean-Paul Bell has been described as one of Australia’s great “Humour-manitarians”. He believes that humour puts life into perspective. Since co-founding the Humour Foundation and creating their Clown Doctor Program in 1996, Jean-Paul has published a book; Laughter is the Best Medicine, which chronicles the experiences of a number of Clown Doctors as they do their rounds at children’s hospitals around Australia. Jean-Paul was the creative director of the Arts Health Institute and has a performing background crossing many disciplines including Theatre, Cabaret, Stand Up comedy, Film and Television.
