A/Prof Susan Evans

Gynaecologist, Laparoscopic Surgeon, Researcher, Educator, and Advocate

Assoc Professor Susan Evans has been a specialist, researcher, educator, and advocate in pelvic pain for over 20 years. As a gynaecologist and laparoscopic surgeon, she saw the difficulties girls and women with pain had, and the lack of co-ordinated effective services to help them. Since then her work has focussed on addressing the wide range of issues that reduce the ability of girls, women and men with pelvic pain to live to their full potential. She now works in pelvic pain research, developing innovations that offer new treatment options for GPs to offer their patients with pain. Associate Professor Evans is a Springboard Enterprise 2020 Life Science Alum, Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Member of the Advisory Board of the Robinson Research Institute, Member of the Dermatology Solutions Advisory Board, Member of Australia’s National Action Plan for Endometriosis Advisory Group.
