Advocate for Social Cohesion; 2017 ACT Young Australian of the year Nominee, High School Teacher

Alpha Cheng is a Canberra based high school teacher and is a vocal advocate for gun control and social cohesion. Alpha tragically lost his father in an act of terrorism on October 2nd, 2015. Alpha and his family have demonstrated incredible strength and courage since that day and have sought to speak out against hate in society. For his contributions Alpha was recognised as a finalist for the Young Australian of the Year awards in 2017
